So regardless of when it comes (I'm getting CE, so who knows) my plans are....
1) Grab Flight Master's License
2) Visit fishing trainer
3) Fly to Hyjal
4) Fish till 525
Lame maybe, however I'm hoping to be 1st on server. (cross fingers)

Do you use one of those auto-fishers? Cant imagine anyone grinding out fishing without it.

Funny you say that because I was just telling someone in my guild about how fishing relaxes me. I used to hate grinding it out. But if you think of it compared to other profs it grinds so much faster now that we don't have zone specific fishing areas (remember that?). With 10 minutes of fishing (average lure time) you can get 30-40 points in fishing. Other profs you have to run around and either skin, find herbs, or ore veins.
(On a side note I've noticed that they must have increased nodes because Alterac Mts. has hella tin veins.)
I just got my coin master achieve. Trying for the sewer rat nad sea turtle.

I'd like to find fishing relaxing, but I find it stressful on my eyes to keep focused on my bobber. I can only do it in short spells, e.g. right now I'm travelling around working on the new Oceanographer and Limnologist achievements, but I couldn't do the long spell needed to race to 525.
Maybe I should turn the volume up louder on my speakers and try to relax and not stare at it (I normally play with the sound pretty quiet).

I have one toon where fishing is over zero...(whopping 16 or so..)
I have zero toons where cooking is over zero...

Relaxing? There is no more of an intense profession. Staring down that bobber for any sign of movement, and the tell-tale sound of the bobber splash. Don't even dare to take a sip of that drink.

10 mins of fishing does not equal 30-40 points for very long.
After 300, it's agonizingly slow.

I only keep fishing and cooking on one toon.
I wonder if archeology will be tied to fishing at all?
