Is there a faster way than starting from Stormwind, going to Booty Bay, to Ratchet and then Uldum?

That's a pretty long way of getting there.

Do this:
Ironforge --> Menethil Harbour --> Theramore --> Cenarian Hold --> Uldum

The longest part is probably going from SW to Ironforge. And I guess from Theremore if you don't have the FP.

I like the Dalaran route though. Use that if you have the Argent Crusader tabard to port yourself to Northrend.

If you've already been there and done a few quests, there's a portal in Stormwind that will port you back to any of the Cat zones.

This is what I did on the first quest to Uldum.

Argent Tabard > Icecrown Tourney area > FP to Dalaran > Take Caverns of Time portal > Fly over to chick with the caravan in Tanaris.

After that the quest intro, I just fly over to the portal island in NE Stormwind.

Uldum is pretty awesome, BTW.

I hearth in the Dwarven District. There's a bank and AH there now and the Hunter trainer is right there as well (good for my Hunter at least).

There's also anvils/forges there, makes it handy for my Paladin.

once again i regret laying waste to the cenarion town in silithus back when that zone first got revamped. hostile with cenarion....soon as i land there i get rushed by the guards lol
