Just curious as to how much Horde/Forsaken harassment the worgen starter area gets. Given its proximity to Silverpine and Hillsbrad it seems like it would be a constant uphill battle to get out of there.

the worgen area is heavily phased. as far as i know they can't be harassed by pvp players since other players won't be in the same phase.

This would also depend entirely on what server you play on.

I have 3 worgens and I only play on a pvp server, so far it doesn't look like there's any griefing in the worgen area. Then again, remember that, even though it's a pvp server, the starter zones are safe for that faction unless you flag yourself for pvp - so I wouldn't expect many high levels to try to get to the worgen area just for a small chance to grief someone unlucky enough to flag themselves. Not to mention the phasing - although, I've been able to see players who were on different parts of the quests in the worgen area, so I'm thinking just the npcs change places for a lot of the 'phases' (ie. they don't necessarily change the phase your in every time an npc moves).

Starter zones are actually generally griefed (endless questgiver killing and camping) more on PvE servers.

Well, I play on a PvE server, but the worgen starting area seemed to be in a phased area similar to the Death Knights. After I got out of there and landed in the Night Elf lands, I then continued on and leveled in the night elf areas (story-wise the worgen curse is apparently loosely related to druids, which makes sense considering druids can change forms, hence why they rescue the Worgen rather than the humans).

I later decided to visit the actual zone where Worgens start, and it's pretty barren. There are some undead stuff by the gate, but the zone and city itself is pretty empty, again, like the DK starting area. My guess is that we're probably not going to see anything there unless Blizzard decides to add stuff, but most likely it'll just be a horde area unless they turn it into a pvp zone where alliance shows up in ships to retake the city or something.

Yeah most of the n00b stuff is heavily phased now, which makes this happen a lot less from what I can tell.
