Looking at participation, the 10vs10 rated battleground weeks have been far and away more popular than the 15vs15 weeks. The difference in organizational requirements as well as battleground map popularity have been a couple big factors that have led to the 10vs10 weeks seeing a great deal more action. By making this change and supporting the popular option we hope to encourage even more players and teams to participate, as they won?t have to wait out every other week, or struggle to beef up to 15 players to match the requirement.
We also have plans to adapt additional battleground maps in the future to work in the 10 player bracket to increase the variety of maps available.

They still can't figure out it's because they are requiring groups to form ahead of time that participation is low?
Wow...
If you have individual rating (which they do) let people queue solo, form the group like the dungeon finder, match make on the rating and be done with it.
Everyone I know was excited by the idea of rated BGs right up to the point where they changed it to require a group formed ahead of time.

yeah Sly...and I'm not one to force ppl to log into the game at a specified time/day just to get ratings, that's what arena is for. anyway until 10+ min queues are gone, there's no point in doing it. you can get 15 arena matches finished and be done for the week while still waiting on a RBG.

Exactly! Why can't the figure out how to use the LFG tool to form rated BGs.

That's it exactly. I can do a 2v2 arena, get all my wins to cap points before I could even get into 3 rated BGs much less finish them.
