Heroics got HARD!!

I have been reading this for a while... but I only dinged a week or so ago on my priest and have been doing a few DF's on normal. Not too bad, mana a bit of an issue, but I'm getting better at selecting the right spell and only using Flash in emergencies.

Anyway, I logged in last night, hit the queue and started Grim Batol... going okay, trash seemed a little harder than normal, but the Tank seemed good and well geared.

First Boss - WTF, just got one shot by his damn Blitz!! So, thats never happened before... we go again and I don't get hit this time and we down him no problems. AHA... I see the issue, the heroic item drops and I realised I joined the wrong queue! Anyway, I say as much and apologise... the group is fairly good and say no worries Im doing okay.

Second Boss - WTF... whats all this [tos_profanity] everywhere, wheres this frigging damage coming from... WTF is with that cone of fire... WTF, WTF, WTF!!! WTF!!!

Seriously... the heroics are one MF huge step up from anything in Wrath!! 2nd boss in GB has more 'gimmicks' than a Wrath raid boss - I know i was undergeared, but I was completely overwhelmed by the amount of AOE dmg going on, keeping track of all the [tos_profanity] on the floor, getting out of the way of his Fire cone, etc... I forgot to heal myself! I apologised to the group... we tried a second time but I couldn't keep the heals going long enough and told them to kick me.

Bottom line - I really like these dungeons! Yes they are a big step up, but at last something which you cannot sleep through. I am actually looking forward to gearing up and getting good enough to heal them (let alone learning all the encounters). I know I am going to get some awefull grps and lots of wipes... but I will be more prepared next time!

As heals you will have a much easier time because of your faster que times but as a DPS try waiting 40 minutes with about a 75- 80% chance of a getting a "pass the blame, name calling bicker fest, fail and bail and see how old heroics get in a hurry.

1.Just learn to heal the tank and let the DPS die.

2.When you get better gear you can stick hots on the dps (if they die with hots on them ,then it's not your fault).

3.when you out-gear the heroics you can keep everyone alive,but I doubt you will want to go back in there.
