"Wonder why this is an official tip that gets facetime on the loading screen? Because it's important! Maybe some more info about it will help you understand why it's awesome.

It is the highest heal-per-mana (hpm) spell for priests.

You can click it from up to 20 yards away.

Clicking it will not change your target and does not trigger the global cooldown.

It heals for more per tick than Renew.

It can be used while stunned, disoriented, sapped, blinded or casting.

Less laughing! More clicking!"

This is a freaking awesome tip. I have it macro'd now what I drop lightwell "LoLwell up! Click it!". My hubby uses it a lot and in most groups we're the only two who are healed by it. Most dps are too "busy" to click it. They seem to think it takes less time to type /p heal me!!! that it does to click the light well.

And there's no reason not to use it. Why save it? It's got only a three minute cooldown and lasts for three minutes (not sure if htere's a glyph or a talent in there for that tbh). Most people recall when it was more or less useless and so they aren't impressed to see it drop at this point. Or they don't understand how it works. I usually make sure ot give a grp, if it's a random pug the run down. "The healer will be using lightwell. Clicking on it heals you. It does not change your target. Love the lightwell."

I did not know this part until Jan. I love being able to click on it while stunned or casting. Especially casting. With my priest I can keep healing other people but click the lightwell while winding up to give myself a heal if I need it. No excuse to forget to heal myself anymore.

*smacks face* . . I used to run up right to the damn thing before I clicked on it; I didn't know about the range . .

Probably the most useful tip I have seen yet.

Since I seem to be the only tank on my entire server who has a clue this tip does not help.

Every other "tank" I've ever seen kites the boss way more than 20 yards from the light well
