What you need to do is go to Gilneas then and drown yourself in the water next to the Cathedral.

This cannot be. There are no bugs in cataclysm, only unexplored features meant to incentivize travel to old world zones and introduce you to the vast heaven of leveling goodness in this expansion.

I had planned to do allt he gilnean starter quests on my pally. Duh, you can't. didn't think about he phasig in that whole area.

You could in beta if you died at a certain spot near the wall/gate to Silverpine. Then you'd be put at the spirit healer in the correct phase. Just spirit rez and tadaa! You're in the worgen starting zone. There was a level 82 mage in beta causing all kinds of issues because he'd be 'one-shotting' slyvanas and bugging her out in the final questline to retake the city.
