Topic of the Week - Get Your Tame Off My Rare

Some hunters spend a great deal of time not just hunting other players but also hunting rare spawns to tame as pets as well. Do you like the hunt? How long have you camped a rare spawn waiting to tame it? What are your favorites? What tame gave the greatest sense of accomplishment?

If waking up every 30 minutes all night long for a few nights in a row is an feat, then I guess it would be "Broken Tooth" for me. Then they normalized pets and I'm left with a crappy cat with a lame default skin.

My favorite 2 pets would be Sambas, just because he looks so dern awesome, and Terrorpene, because he looks awesome also and is an incredible tanking pet. The tame that gave me the greatest sense of accomplishment was King Krush, even though I barely use him because of the BM spec requirement.
It took me over a month of looking for him, including several stretchs of camping for 8+ hours a time and recruiting/paying people to help me camp him, before I finally tamed him. I finally got him by doing a patrol 6 or 8 hours after a server reset and, there he was!

Broken Tooth. Everything else (with the possible exception of core hounds in MC and the bats in ZG when those became tamable) was downhill from there.

Yeah that was a disappointment! I never did get BT on my hunter and then there was no point. Have a hunter in guild who's mid 70's now and he's found and tamed ALL the Wrath rares except King Krush now, just by finding them while leveling. Boggles my mind.

I've never cared for taming rare pets. For once, collecting something in game doesn't appeal to me! I'm happy with my boar, Wilber.
Course if they attached an achievement to it then it *might* perk my interest...but probably not.
