Why were you guys holding out on me? I imagine DKs would be fun too. Having a touch of on-demand healing (ie. 3-HP Word of Glory) is really quite nice for 5-man content so far. I just hope none of my party members inspect me and realize I have no trinkets (/cry @ losing BoE trinkets come level 81).

I enjoy it, and I like DK tanking. I like warrior tanking too but I think it takes more effort to get the same results (could just be me, warrior is the last tank of mine I took to 85 and I'm rusty). There are intracies and subtleties to every tank but I still think warriors are more of a workout.

There used to not be a 20s CD on word of glory and it was pretty sick for tanking (and I guess in general) since you could use it way more frequently or get 2 in a row if the talents that caused HP to not get consumed kicked in. Now it's more strategic, I guess. :/

I dunno. On the trinkets it says level 1-80 so I tossed them over to my DK. Maybe they still work at level 81 and I forgot to check I've done dumber things in my life. Ooops it should say BOA not BOE.

This is exactly how I feel about my warrior. I love flying around with charge, intercept and heroic leap. I love shockwave and all the other goodies. I feel like I do need to work a lot harder though. Self-healing is what really does me in. I've seen tanks with self-healing essentially solo a boss once the group wipes due to standing in bad stuff. Warriors never really seem to pull that off. I know in raids warriors are good tanks. In 5-mans I think they come dead last or close to it

Ahhhh, gotcha. I think all that means is they stop scaling @ 80. Same stats from 80-85.

IIRC, the boa cloak and helm also stop scaling at 80, but you still get the xp bonuses from them. The rest of the boa stuff stops scaling, and the xp bonuses no longer work (at least not in 4.1). I used them (helm and cloak) while questing and in regular instances and never had a problem on my bear.

The Helm and Cloak scale to 85.
