So if I take a random screen shot and photoshop some sequential numbers on it I have a "calendar"?

No.

There is no way these are random screenshots.. you have to really try to get as bad as these usually are.

I would be happy to accept any artist's app to volunteer at WoWVault and replace my humble calendars with something more excellent.

I know critic is easy from those who do nothing (I worked for the vault too...) but I will try to be constructive at least, unlike the usual trolls.
1) Try to use antialiasing in your screenshots. Including on transparent textures.
2) Try to make the "calendar" part look a bit better than typing a row of numbers...

Just 2 cents, I don't use calendar backgrounds anyway. But you should at least try to do point 1. You can achieve the same effect than antialiasing by using a higher resolution and scaling the picture down.

I won't work for the vault for free, but I offer you my help to take antialiased screenshots of the pics you want for your calendar.

lol. Fairly lame. Not useful. Try and release the calendar before the month starts.
