basically, I have an EU account and I play on EU servers...


My question is this

Can I change the client to US and play there without re-purchasing the game or anything like that?

If so how do I do it?

Not a 100% sure how but you might have to re-install WoW with the US client but if your account is on EU servers you still might not be able to log in on it.


You might need to transfer your toon to a US server first, again just not sure.

I think I can change the client but my main problem is I don't know if I can play there without re-purchasing a US account...

nope you need to start over on a brand new u.s. account...can't transfer either

Plus you will also need the US client as well. There are differences, although minor, between the US and EU clients. It's hard to tell which files would be different or not.

Or you could probably go into your WOW/Data folder, rename the enEU folder as enUS (or make a complete copy of the entire WoW folder if you still want to play on EU servers as well), then modify the realmlist.wtf file in the enUS folder, and put this info into it instead...

After that you will probably need to run the repair tool, but it should make for a much smaller download than downloading the entire US client.
