My two nieces (20 and 15) decided to come to town to enjoy the holiday with the remnants of us that still live here in this podunk town. My sister, her husband, and her step-daughter also stopped over at Mom's (who is a crazy ninja super saiyan cook when it comes to turkey) for most of the day. It was actually a really good day, unlike most Thanksgivings.
We all sat around talking about what has happened to us over the past few months, had more than a few laughs while watching Jeff Dunham's latest Comedy Central special, even if it kinda sucked, and just kept on talking, laughing, and enjoying each others company, which really doesn't happen very often.
Then of course all the girls headed off to Walmart and places unknown for the Pre-Black Friday sales. I don't know how anybody could possibly shop on a stomach full of turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. Talk about super-human endurance...
After that the remainder guys and I sat around freezing our arses off on the patio drinking beer, sharing laughs, and making jokes at the girls expense because after 4 hours they're STILL shopping. Holy crap... It's gotta be in the genes.
I'm not complaining though. All those Black Friday bargains means that in a month Christmas morning is gonna rock.
