So it's been a couple of days with 4.3 and I'm actually pretty happy with the patch. It's fresh and the 5 mans seem to be the right balance of challenge and duration. The initial couple of days of super long DPS queues seem to have worked out and there's not too long a wait to get started.

Then there is Raid Finder. First, it's a good new feature and builds 25 mans very quickly. I also like the fact that players who depart are replaced quickly. The encounters are interesting and mechanics don't seem to be insurmountable. That said, progression is not too good this week. It's (relatively) simple to get through the first couple of boss fights, but things tend to fall apart quickly. I suppose it's to be expected and should get better over time. The requirements to use raid finder seem to filter out poor players (you don't get to the needed ilvl without some skill & knowledge) but avoiding players doing under 14K DPS is likely not possible. I was worried about the assclown/douchebag factor, but it seems most people are genuinely interested in progression.

All in all, 4.3 will keep me going until GW2 gets here.

One thing: Void storage is disappointing. I would have liked to be able to put in certain stacked items, and the 25G insert charge is freaking steep. Is it always 25G per store and retrieve?

The douchebag factor should increase as the normal raider crowd gets into farm mode on the new stuff and starts putting their alts into the LFR queues. It has worked that way for heroics, no reason it wouldn't be that way in LFR.

Arc, the priest changes are actually fantastic bro. Well, for holy anyway, haven't touched disc since healing with it felt like working with a limp... well, you know.

I am absolutely loving Holy though. The changes to divine hymn make it an incredible cooldown, and holy word's decreased cooldown makes it much more viable. I actually feel like a powerhouse healer again, I am so loving it.

The new dungeons are a lot of fun, and transmog so far is smashing. Pains me to say it, but I'm actually digging this patch. Haven't tried LFR yet, will do so this weekend.

Oh, also: levitate now allows you to glide forward instead of run on air. Looks a little spooky, but hella awesome.
