Shortly after patch 4.3 was released, we became aware that some players were abusing an exploit to obtain loot from the same Raid Finder bosses multiple times in a single raid lockout period (one week). The Raid Finder loot mechanic is of course intended to only allow a person to roll on boss loot drops once per raid lockout period. The raid lockout mechanic has been a mainstay of the World of Warcraft rules since Onyxia and Molten Core, ensuring that no one can obtain loot from a boss more than once per lockout. Due to the nature of the exploit and the clear intent of those who abused it, they've been issued notices and given temporary suspensions from the game. We?re also working to remove all Raid Finder items from those who used the exploit.

ParagonPlayer1: "How long was your ban?"
ParagonPlayer2: "3 days lol."
ParagonPlayer3: "Mine was only 24 hours. "
ParagonPlayer1: "Heh, I had to work this week anyway, so not like we missed anything."
ParagonPlayer2: "No kidding. Slap on the wrist."
ParagonPlayer3: "ou'd think after the 3rd or 4th time we got banned they'd make the suspensions longer."
ParagonPlayer2: "Right, and lose more subs? lolol"

[edit] Reading around some forums, the raiders that got caught and banned are laughing and saying it is nothing new. " U R SURPIZED?"

I'm happy they banned right away. That way the guilds who exploited probably won't be getting any world first kills.

The maximum ban I saw posted was eight days, Paragon was even mocking the bans on their own forums. Blizzard apparently condones cheating, they just don't condone getting caught.

I think the gear removal hurt worse than the bans. Lot of work (even if they did cheat) down the tubs.

There are three kind of liberals;
Stupid, ignorant or evil
The result is always evil but the intent is not always evil. Not that it makes much difference in the long run.
