Faction transfer question...

My son, who has a level 74 horde, wants to transfer from Horde to Alliance. He wants to know if and how the reputations and items will appear after the transfer. For example, he has a lot of PVP arena and BG rewards items. Will these transfer to the alliance versions? Also, he likes to grind reputations, will these also transfer to the alliance versions or will he have to start over and do the alliance rep grinds? One last thing, money, will his bank roll transfer?
I don't play anymore but seem to be relegated to an in-house GM with all questions WOW related. That is why I am coming to you guys.

Most things transfer as their equivalent , opposite faction "item".

Yes to all the above.
Even if you have some Horde specific PvP pets, they will be changed to the Alliance equivalent.

The Argent Tournament pets will not change. In fact I dont konw of ANY pets that change...just mounts. All Alliance gear will change to Horde equivilants where applicable, sucha s the ToC gear. All of the Argent Tournament stuff will reset and you'll have to redo the quest lines to open the portals to Vash and such. Although only being 74 means that not a problem. The reputation will transfer over, like Stormwind rep becomes Org rep and Ironforge transfer to Thunderbluff. If you already were exalt with Hydraian Waterlords, you'll keep that.
Your quests will reset if you're worried about the Loremaster Achievement, finish up any zones you're close to completing.
Having to redo all the Argent Tournament stuff is the only inconvience I encoutered, that made me cry.
