Since I'm getting the Gypsey Silverclaw and Isabel Silverclaw back soon ...curious as to whether they are viable anymore.

From what I recall Gypsey is the battlemage and and Izzy was a life/archer w/ melee .....are these toons nerfed now. I know both of them were over 126 (that was the official level cap then) ....

Thanks all!

Idk if they're nerfed but the level cap before 126(display) I was 141 before ToD came out. One of my friends on harvestgain was 181 and the highest level on HG before ToD.

battlemage i am not sure about now. last time i come back mages where getting melee. i think a life/archer w/ melee will always work tho. not sure it matters anymore you can pretty much make your char what you want given time.

A war / life / magic d spec mage is possibly the most powerful choice. Some prefer war / melee d but I've tried both and spec life is vastly superior.

Bow / life / melee is still very versatile, but can be outdamaged by 2H in several situations.

2H, while undoubtedly powerful, still suffers from many of the drawbacks of a melee weapons (range, skill credit distribution). I will be using a spec 2H/Xbow/Life character in the near future to see if that provides a bit more versatility with high level content.

I do consider specialized life the second most important thing to specialized on any playable character (right after primary attack skill). Melee is generally optional for me as well, however.

If a no melee mage is played well (and preferably with an adept suit), they have good access to about 95% of high end content (Paradox Olthoi area gets tricky), and do better at most high level (non Egg Orchard) hunting areas.

In any case, war/life/magic d can be attained with trained melee with a bit of sacrifice (No missile and either no healing or lore - 225 without healing, 275 without lore).

That's mostly what I was trying to say, but out of laziness I used less clarification.

And yet you have enough ambition to come back and clarify your laziness.

You, sir, are a strange one.

Well it was laziness and I only had a couple of minutes before I had to leave the house.

Not to mention I am now bored, and looking for something to do while my music... erm... gets here? From the uhm... place that it comes from.
