If you ask me its because Mythic had to build everything from the ground up. At least half the time something decent was suggested I seem to remember them saying they cant do it because its hard coded into the game.
Blizzard already had an impressive bankroll before they even bothered getting started. Now its just ridiculous. what is it 11 million subscribers kicking in over 100milion a month to blizzard's bank account? They have the resources to make their little cartoon game more appealing to the kids who think its fun.
Mythic has been auctioned around the block to different companies because its just not a competitor. Call it how you wanna call it the results don't lie. In the end Mythic Entertainment just couldn't compete with Blizzard Entertainment. Tbh they never could. Blizzard has always made sweet games. Mythic made one decent game I liked for a long time but now is irrelevant because its such a low population. WoW is the only game they make that I've played that I really don't like from Blizzard.
