I currently just resubbed and re-installed AC. The launcher patched fine, but when I try to access a server to play, it acts like it is going to "switch" screens to the bubbles, but then nothing happens. I haven't actually ever gotten to the bubble screen to update. I am running Windows 7 and I downloaded the game with IE. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

but when i just tried to log in, it was beginning a d/l......so maybe they fixed something today

Honestly, AC just doesn't like modern graphics cards very much. I think AC would run better on my 9 year old Debian server than on my gaming rig.

I still can't believe WB/Turbine hasn't looking into expanding the franchise with a new title and retiring this 11 year old dinosaur.

Not to sound negative, but the game really isn't in good shape anymore. At bare minimum they should look into truly modernizing the graphics and switching to F2P with a good marketing campaign. But all of that would require money and resources on what would essentially be a gamble considering AC2's failure and the current low level of interest in AC classic.

I had the same problem, I had to disconnect my wireless router and go with external, also check into portforwarding, at portforward.com, that got me going.Good luck.
