Got the itch again, going to give it another go. I re rolled a few years back on HG, believe I joined the Rune of the Icefalcon back then? Are they still around? Was a good group, I just ran out of time to play due to real life priorities.

I'm planning on rolling a mage, looking at maybe trying void magic or going with the old trusty war mage template. Have been looking at some of the new guides on wiki, any advantages for race in regards to mages now? I think the last time I played Viamontians had just been added as a playable race.

Most advantageous races for mage imo would be aluvian for dagger if you want a melee fall back weapon, or undead/empyrean for the spec arcane racial... also worth noting that undeads get critical protection augmentation (very very nice aug) and empyreans get infused life.

Also if you plan on going void, i've heard void/ua is a very nice combo in terms of pk if you have any interest in pkl duels and what not.

What are some active guilds on HG? I logged into some of my old toons and I had several sworn to members of Rune of the Icefalcon, however I noticed the monarch and my patron were greyed out, does this mean they are no longer active?

I have a lvl 30 mage I'm leveling, looking to swear to someone in an active guild and pass up some xp in exchange for maybe a little help with improving my gear....the pathwarden robe and academy wand are getting a little tattered.

I believe, and don't hold me to this, but it's going from the RUI allegiance website listed on ac.wikkii.net. That Bleys came back recently and the allegiance (while a bit smaller) is still active... That being said, some of the bigger allegiances now days are Karesta's Knights Reborn and Forgetmenot's Unforgotten among a few others, but those are the ones that stick out in my mind atm.
