Can I get my old character back? |
I don't remember the details, but many years ago I let go of my character. Was interested in coming back to check things out. I think I read that you can no longer transfer characters or accounts or something, so am I out of luck?

You can still migrate accounts if it is so old that it is from the time when Microsoft ran things.
If it is newer than that you just need to figure out the account and password and everything will still be there.
In the amount of time that will take you though you could likely have a higher leveled/better geared new character anyway.

There are still rank chains. The XP passup was changed so that the immediate patron gets a ton, but the next one up does not get so much. So, if you have vassels you can still get a lot.

No, rank chains were broken. Only vassal to patron passup is good. Vassal to patron's patron is terrible.
