I am trying to put together a website. It's more or less supposed to be an online portfolio. I've been hiding in my room for a few days now trying to find most of everything that I still had art-wise. But I'm concerned about the layout of the website and functionality of it for the purpose.

Not bad for a noob...

First thing that I'd suggest, making your header image big enough to match the size of the background it's on. That way you're not seeing a little bit of it under the links.

Second, on your galleries, if you're on gallery2 and hit back, it tries to go to gallery1.html instead of gallery.html.

Third, I would put the "Back" and "Next" at opposite ends of the bar, instead of putting them together. Fourth, your footer doesn't appear to be lining up vertically. It's kind of overlapping the bottom image and the text.

Fourth, what's with the white line that goes down vertically? was there supposed to be a img7.gif that's not loaded?

Fifth, on the gallery pages, the background image at the top doesn't repeat or stretch across the entire top of the page.

I'm fixing some of the things you noticed right now.

I think I updated the background image last night, or early this morning, so the white line may have been the edge of where the bg image was starting to repeat? I'm not sure. If not, the only line I can think of is the vertical one of the homepage but I kept that there to outline what I was planning to do/incorporate.

The other thing I wanted to figure out is how to get a dropdown menu type thing going for the navbar, so I don't have a seperate page for the links. Also, I kind of wanted to do.. Um, breadcrumbs, I think it's called?..

I'm going to go in another direction with the background, header, navbar, and other stuff for an overall different aesthetic. I've been working on some of the stuff in photoshop in my spare time right now.
