Check the filesize and dimensions of your original image and make sure they are within requirements, that border usually happens when the icon uploader has to compress the image in some way.

I took the border out for you. Not sure about the image quality since I used the compressed image - but should at least be borderless. (I'm not familiar with the symbol, but am assuming that it's not symmetrical on purpose.)

Maybe photobucket is better. Like I said, not that "clean" but better.
By the way, if we upload an image that turns out badly, is there anyway to take it off ourselves or who should we contact for that? |

I've not been involved since the changes, but I believe the "bad" icons get removed regularly, I don't know who does it though. I'd suggest dropping a PM to beibhinn, she'll know what to do
