I'm working on a new background and header for my blog. I can put the design in my head but actually getting on the screen is a different matter. So here's what I'm looking for


Someone who's done WoW Model Viewer and has an idea how it works


A free graphics program


And someone to hold my hand while I put it together


Bascially I'm a totaly newb. I use paint. Seriously, I can do fun things with paint but that's my level of expertise. I have sued photoshop trials in the past but someone else always set up the template for me and I took care of the details.

Is the layout fixed?

Define fixed? I'd like the image of the character on the left to not move. As far as the header image it can scroll.


edit: rethinking. For whatever reason in my mind's eye I see the title image staying stationary but most sites aren't set up that way and I don't think there's an advantage to that.

As in, do you already know what the layout is or is designing that around your ideas part of the job description?

I know what layout I want. I was going to try to do it myself and wanted someone to walk me through it, however I'm always open to suggestions, especially from talented creative people.


And if I'm unusually dense and just not getting what you're asking bear with me, it's been a tiring morning and my brain doesn't always process info well.

You're probably best off spinning up a Wordpress blog, finding an awesome template, and then tweaking from there.

Wordpress has been making me nucking futs today. Seriously...it's one of those, I just want to remove this or change that sort of thing and I can't figure out how. Been having better lock with blogspot but it's still making me crazy. The biggest part is putting together the graphic for the background though. I suck at graphics, you've seen my paint pics...

Ok, here's what I want to do. I want to make a background for this:

Basically I want to keep the dark gray background and then add little WMV images of different armor sets down each side of the background.


I can probably figure out how to take the screenies from WMV and post them on a background but I'm not sure of the image quality since all I have paint atm.


Secondly I don't know how to size it. Like how big does my background need to be? How adjustable does it need to be and what's the best way to do that.


I do want a title image but I think I've got that covered.


So anyone want to walk me through making a background? :d Please?
