The Upper Gauley river...
If you ever find yourself close to West Virginia in the fall, I HIGHLY recommend going on a whitewater rafting trip down the Upper Gauley river. There are 6 weeks during the fall where they reduce the water level behind Summerville dam and during this time the Upper Gauley is ranked as the #7 whitewater river in the world. It was an incredible experience and something I had been wanting to do for the last 9 years. If you all ever find yourself in the WV area during the fall, go check it out!!
