Now that the patch is live, and people are finding and reporting bugs that weren't noticed during testing, what do you think of it?

I am still playing around and re-speccing my characters, and resetting my custom UI. I've had a few little issues since before the patch with going LD. So, I completely deleted DAOC as well as my UI, and did a clean install on both. That seems to have resolved my connectivity issues, but it is taking some time to reset all my toolbars.

I've decided to switch things up a bit. Since the new user journey has made leveling easier and seemingly quicker, I've decided to create an Alb and a Mid to check out the battle grounds and explore those lands a bit more. I just need to figure out what I want type of characters I want to create.

Are you playing around in the starter zones? Are you checking out all that the new patch has to offer? Topic of the Week wants to know your thoughts on the latest patch.

Haven't checked anything new out, just PL'ing bots atm

I finished up the last few trades to LGM. I ran by DF and saw a knife to start the new quest (or so I presumed) for 5k bp and went right back to crafting.

I rolled a menty I kept promising I would roll for years and refused to /level so I could take the new quests for a test drive.

They are kind of interesting so far. The Epic encounters are difficult and the only way I see anyone doing them is either having a friend or their 50th bot kill it for them. That said having Mythreans pre-50 is nice. I took the focal one for the 2 I have done so far (there were 3 I could do but the hib 10th epic quest is bugged, that or nobody has figured out how to engage the big skeleton in a fight.) and the focals evolve slowly, the first one (which was from the second epic) gives you a level of effective focus, the second one does the same but has an additional PvE only bonus to cast cost reduction

I ran thru a bunch of the lowbie quests on a friar on pendragon.. fast xp and fer a noob it will teach ya some stuff..

Pentagarn is right about the epic stuff fer myths.. tried the one just outside cotswold with friar.. just gave up and ran after about 5 min.. i could have fought it all day and it would have won when i fell asleep at the keyboard.. definately need two toons fer that.. two healer mobs with one main.
