they should rename is espnsoccer.com! my goodness its been un-bearable to go to their website and not be bombarded by soccer. you would think it was the most popular sport in the USA. all the adds, headlines, stories...just made me !

/rant off..

sorry if some of you are in love with the sport, but it makes me ill.

This is why I have a bookmark to the College Football section of their site, I haven't had to see the front page in years. I have however had to deal with all the "Big Ten sucks" BS that they have on that page.

This is a world class event, and deserves all the attention that it gets. I am not a huge fan of soccer, but you have to admit, the world cup is in a league of its own. I was honestly thinking the other day that ESPN was not paying enough attention to this world cup, especially after USA was eliminated. Also the Vuvuzula are awesome, please allow these in the NFL!

I definitely see your point, but you have to remember, ESPN is a international website, and channel. Not just America and Americans watch ESPN, and definitely more than Americans go to ESPN.com. On a world level the world cup is the premier event. It is the same way with the Olympics, I could careless about them, but I reconize their importance so I tolerate all the attention they get.

I'm pretty sure NFL fans wouldn't tolerate those stupid horns

and if people tried they'd have the snot beaten out of them before the 1st quarter was even half done

I can see some Patriots fan in a Tom Brady jersey walking out of the stadium with his vuvuzula stuck where the sun doesn't shine, now tell me, who wouldn't want to see that?
