not surprised by this, i cant stand the Yankees...but you have to respect what he built and he was the type of owner that most fans wanted for their team. a owner that would spend the money to make a winner! and he did just that, purchased the team for 10mil, and transformed it into a billion dollar enterprise...utterly amazing.


my question to you guys, where do you think he rates in the all time greats of Yankees? i know he didnt play, but he is just as much a Yankee as Babe Ruth was imo.

Personally I would have liked to have seen him do that to the Indians.
