Murky Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears
This is probably the easier of the two games to pick for me. On defense I think you have to give the nod to both teams, I do not feel that one defense is really better than the other defense. However, offense is a whole different story. I will give the running edge to Chicago, but it is only a slight edge. The passing edge has to be with the Packers, and it is a major edge. The Packers have the best quarterback in the NFC right now, Aaron Rodgers. Yes he is better than Drew Brees, if you dont like that fact, go jump in a river of lava. Jay Cutler will be making his first playoff start against a team with a winning record. Lets be honest here, calling that Seattle game a playoff game is just a mockery of the system; that wasn't a playoff game that was more like watching the retarded kid in middle school dancing with one of the school teachers at the school dance in pitty. So as far as I am concerned Cutler is making his first playoff start this Sunday. I think he will bomb it horribly, which is no surprise. Bears will go as Cutler goes, and I think that is going to be on a gift giving spree to the Packers defense. Aaron Rodgers will prove why he is the best quarterback in the NFC this weekend.
My prediction: Packers 24-10
New York Jets at Pittsburgh Steelers
This is the game of the century for this week. The great and not so honorable Ben Rothlisberger, versus the kid Mark "insert horrible reference here" Sanchez. Honestly I do not know how the Jets beat the Patriots, that was the one pick last week I felt the most sure about. Tom Brady, maybe you should have kept that long rediculously girly looking hair; maybe then the Jets wouldn't have hit you as much because they would have confused you for a girl. The Jets were in my opinion the weakest team in the AFC, which is why it is no surprise that the Jets are playing for the AFC Championship......again. What is it about these New York Jets? Last year I thought they had no chance either, but during Championship weekend there they were playing against Indiancrapolis. Anyways on to the game this Sunday. The Steelers do not surprise me, now that Tom Brady has easily removed himself as the best quarterback in the NFL, Big Ben can finnally take his rightful spot as the best quarterback in the NFL. This game should also come down to whose better at quarterback, and that has to be Rothlisberger. I have said it the past couple of weeks, but this week I really mean it; If the Steelers can shut down the Jets run game and force the ball in to Sanchez hands, then they should be able to produce a few turnovers and win the game. However, if the Jets can estblish the run and get a few big plays out of Sanchez, they just might pull off their biggest upset yet.
My prediction: Steelers 27-17
