I got one at Christmas. I really like it. It stays on my camera more than any other lens right now. The Canon is sharper, but it is also a couple hundred bucks more.
Some samples from the lens:

and a Flickr group for the lens:

I'm at work now, I'll throw up some of my shots with the lens later on tonight.

Got some cash together. Really tempted to buy one of these. Mostly doing landscape/architecture pictures right now. looking to spread into taking pictures of people (everyday life, not portraits). Seems like a good lens to catch people and their surroundings...

I agree dead, a 10-20 or there abouts is my next lens.
I could have really used one of those for some of my "Urban Decay" series, not to mention a few of the news ones I just did and haven't put up yet.
Although to be fair, there is all kinda architecture shots that wouldn't work for to.

True. I meant to mention in the last post that they seemed to work for the kind of shots I want to do. I'm not interested in getting the technical details and scale of the building to show; more of an impressionist sort of shot. I think it would work fine for that...

Yep. I'm a firm believer in breaking rules for photography. And I think you and I like the same kinda shots when it comes to architecture.
