Hey people!

I'm gonna try this challange again, and hope this years outcome will be better than last years :>


The rules:


You can only use one lens for the duration of the challenge. (1.oct - 31.oct.)

The lens you use has to be a prime.

You can only post 7 pictures in any one week.

You can only post 1 picture taken on the same date.

Let the images keep the exif.

Posted pictures should only be 1280px in the longest direction.


When the month is over, you choose your 3 favourite pictures and we'll gather them in one thread.


Levels:

You can choose between:


Hardcore: 1 picture per day. you don't take any pictures not related to the challenge for the duration.

Enthusiast: 1 Picture per day. You mainly take pictures related to the challenge, but also some others if you feel like it.

Candidate: You're trying for Enthusiast-level, but there are some days you can't deliver. You shoot other stuff if you feel like it.

Wuss: You take 2-3 pictures per week related to the challenge. And shoot whatever you like apart from that.


Participationthread:

You make your own thread, where you post max one picture per day. Comments from others are welcome in the thread.

The name of your thread must abide by the rules for this forum. I reccomend the following format:


Octoberfest 2010 - username - lens


Example:

Octoberfest 2010 - Raiztlin - Nikkor AF-S 50mm f/1.4G


Free passes:

Because stuff might happen, you might not be able ot deliver some days. So the harder levels have free passes so you'll be able to finish the challenge even if something should come up.

Hardcore participants get 2 free passes, and Enthusiasts get 4.

Each free-pass is valid for one day. If you're in the hardcore category. You can use the free-pass to take pictures not related to the challenge as well.


Didn't see this in time?

If you didn't see this post before it was too late, you can still participate if you sign up within the first week. You'd of course have to choose either candidare or wuss-level by then though.

If you have pictures from all the dates in the period, you can sign up within the first week and post the backlog, as long as you start taking pictures the the first.


Other:

If you wish, you can add your own challenge, for instance:

- I only shoot once per day. one picture and have to poste it.

- No cropping

- Black and White only

- No Post production

- etc..

I'm doing this challenge on a norwegian board, so I figure I'll post the pics here as well. To try to liven the place up a bit.
