They came out pretty nice considering how careful i had to be while taking them...have to be really cautious with this tarantula as the breed is faster than greased lightning. Getting pictures was sort of a balancing act between making sure she didn't bolt and trying to shoot the picture

Here are some pics i got while getting her settled into her new cage. For anyone interested in the specifics shes a Pterinochilus murinus or whats commonly called an Usambara Orange Baboon Tarantula or occasionally an Usambara Starburst. Pictures were done with a canon powershot IS10.

her face is right in the water dish there.

i forgot to say how big she was as well since there isn't much to compare to in those pictures. that little black water dish shes drinking out of is roughly the size of an US half dollar coin or about an inch and a quarter across.

it does look a hell of alot like water with a reflection in it doesn't it? lol

I miss my pink toe. My kitty went after a cricket she didn't eat yet and he got the cricket and the spider. I miss poor Betty. she was a beautiful specimen.

You should take some more, but next time put the tarantula on a large white poster so that you can get a more dramatic shot! Maybe you could even get closer. Really great pictures though.
