Christmas present to me will be AWESOME!!! |
my next job is in St Louis at an Air Force Base installing some audio/video equipment for about a month, working 60-70 hours per week so overtime has been OK'ed!!!!
Due to that fact, with it being right before Christmas, my lovely wife has agreed to start working on some studio equipment... an Alien Bee B800 and a Sekonic L-358 flash meter will be our first purchase!!!
flash meter to help me not UNDER EXPOSE my pics...lol

Trust me bro... go for the White Lightning 800. It is also from Paul C Buff and only $110 more. Essentially it is exactly like the AB800 but it can drop its power down to be a AB400 as well. One day you will have too much power from the AB800 and thank me  I have the White Lightning 1600 and have found even dropping it to an 800 has been too much at times.

My plan is to have an AB400, AB800 and an Eistien for fill, hair, background, and main. NOt sure if I will eventually have 2x400 or 2x800

so I just bought an SB-28...LOL The camera shop had about 20 of these used from buying them from the newspaper, got a great deal!!!

lol Foxy. The SB-28 is just to goof around with, its a good reliable CHEAP flash. I paid $70 for it.
at 1/64 I can take pics at 6 per second with flash
