I think that the time between somone starting to learn photography and the time he/she takes his first droplet pics probably can be expressed as a mathematical formula

That being said though, I like yours. That first one is the one I like the best.

The droplets you linked in the second one are also cool

What did you do to take them? Relied on lots of photo's and some luck? or did you have a setup to trigger your flash?

I took some water droplet pics months ago, but never posted any of them because I had some really crappy flashes.

I probably took about 100 pics yesterday of the water droplets. I had a really small hole in the plastic bag over the drop pan, so it had a very controlled drop rate. I just set my focus manually, since all the drops landed in the exact same spot, then used an SB-28 flash to bounce off the back card for the reflection in the water, and used a remote trigger. Just sat there timing the drops, and watching the back of the camera to make adjustments.

I'd like to get a good setup, but those usually run for several hundred dollars. I'd love to make collision photos like this one...

that's cool, but not what I was looking for. To get the collision, you gotta have a dropper system that can "spit" out two drops at timed intervals, so the 1st drop goes back up, and the 2nd drop collides.

hrmmm, they sell more than I thought. I might have to get a few of those kits. Especially the sound activated one.
