It seems like only yesterday I held her for the first time, she smiled for the first time, she took her first step, she spoke her first words, she rode the bus to school....such a little girl she was....she went to her first dance with her first "date", she graduated high school....and when she went off to college, where she wrote this letter to me.....I couldn't help but be so proud of all her firsts and every moment in between.

I had the urge to play the song Daddy's Hands. So I
downloaded it and i've played it several times, and I
was thinking how much I wish I had a Dad who was truly
like that, all the time. And then it occurred to me
that Daddy may not have been that way, but you always
were. And you're not online right now, but I just
wanted you to know how much you mean to me, and how
much I love you, and how much I appreciate that you
are my mother, and how overwhelmingly grateful I am
to you. Every day I marvel at the gifts you gave me.
I look around at my peers, who in one way or another
are lost: lost in the thoughts and ideas of others,
and incapable of thinking for themselves, or lost in
the world in general, incapable of even doing their
own laundry, and I thank God for what you gave me. I
don't think I'll ever fully fathom how blessed I am
for what you've done for me. Thank You so much.

I love you, Mom!!!
