The baby got 2 presents open then decided to take a nap for 2.5 hours. We're waiting until he gets up to open the rest of his.

We're doing the Christmas with my wife's family on the 1st.
We visited my father in the hospital and did a little Christmas stuff there on Christmas day. Not too festive. Kiddo got a lot of cars (some hotwheels stuff and a bunch from the movie Cars) and big box of Playdough and tools to go with that. Little cars all over the floor in the kitchen every time we turn around.

my older daughter came down with the flu on December 25th and we cancelled our travel plans at just about the absolute last minute. we haven't left the house since then. she has high fevers that won't go down with Tylenol, only with Motrin, and we've been giving her that almost round the clock. been trying to get her in to see the pedi but they won't see her until she's had 72 hours of fever and they were closed this afternoon -- I'm hoping they will get her in tomorrow. so no, we don't have any pictures. and we do Hanukkah, anyway.

I realize now I do not fear death. I fear my daughter will not be free when I die.
