We have a pest service because roaches are pretty popular here in Vegas. Not to mention black widows. Every so often I know when there was a hatching in the neighborhood because I will find a dying roach laying on the sidewalk with its legs flailing. I don't like roaches but I also don't like seeing things suffer either but my squeamishness about smooshing them overwhelms and I usually just kick them off into the bushes.
Well my little one (3) sees one of these critters laying there flailing and says "look mommy a bug" and I just say "
es baby, just leave the yucky bug alone" to which he replies "awww, I think he needs his mommy".
