I'm just blown away that lead-containing paint still exists, period. Also the fact that we import all this junk from places that still haven't got the slightest care in the world about obvious hazards like lead paint, melamine in milk...

What's more - for all the years people have been using lead based paint on their houses - where do you think the lead goes after they've chipped it off the boards and repainted?
It goes into the soil around the house and into the well.
One of MANY reasons people NEED to get a soil test and a well water test at least every 5 years.
