Haven't seen them live, very good band in my opinion though.

I saw them live at the house of blues last year, one of the best shows (if not the best) I've ever been to.

If you like Porcupine Tree, check out Blackfield. Same dude. He also produced and played keyboards for 2 of Opeth's CDs - Deliverance and Damnation.

Truth. Mikael Akerfeldt, Steve Wilson, and Mike Portnoy are supposed to be getting together for a side project, whenever the three of them happen to have the time. Should be interesting, though the last I heard of it they were having trouble deciding where to take it. Wilson and Portnoy wanted to do heavier then the norm, whereas Akerfeldt wanted to do some mellow stuff again. End result should be interesting regardless, if/when they ever get around to it.

I picked up the new PY live concert DVD "Arriving Somewhere" and have wtched it a few times... very good. The highlight is on disc 2, "The Cymbal Song" by the great Gavin Harrison.
