I've remixed Heart Shaped Box by Nirvana, into electro house... whether it's better or not is hard to say, since it's two completely different genres.
I also just recently remixed "Me, I'm not", by NiN. I like the original better, but I wanted to try creating a really dark glitchy remix, and it came out pretty good.
