I recently burned some Color Mountain Pine Logs in my outdoor fireplace and it started to smell like nasty burning plastic.


Does anyone know a better brand that does not have such a nasty smell? or do all presto logs have a bad smell? lol

when we used our fireplace, i didnt, mainly bc i heard there were chemicals in them.

I tried them once as well and could not handle the smell plus I didnt think all those chemicals were good. We ask at lumber supply stores for their scrap ends to burn in ours. We also watch for new construction sites you can get a lot of lumber scraps from them they are glad to get rid of them, less stuff for them to have to toss in the dumpster Sometimes you get really lucky and can find a place where they are framing up several houses at the same time and can come home with a motherload
