I'll be taking a look at it now, thanks.
I've been trying to teach myself how to knit for about a week now, I've got casting on and the knit stitch down. Working on the purl and the casting off, and whatever's after that if anything. :/

I wanted to stab things with knitting needles as I was learning.
The biggest thing that helped me was ditching metal needles. The metal always slipped out of my hand *sigh*
I had a project that called for round needles and the only kind the store had in stock that day were bamboo. dear god the difference between the two was amazing. So now, even if I'm not making circular things, I use circular bamboo needles.
and purling can kiss my rear end, I hate it.

I can knit and crochet but I just haven't had time lately. I need to get back to it...along with sewing.
I'm with Chan, there are so many craft projects I'd love to learn but just don't have time. I have my grandmother tatting shuttle and tried to teach myself to tat but I just ended up with a knotted string.

You guys should totally check out Craft magazine. It has all the crafty stuff, knitting, crocheting, sewing, but with a totally bizarre twist to most of the crafts. I love it
