I can't believe how well it's going. We've finished off the peas although I haven't taken them down yet, the carrots are almost fully grown (though I've been sneaking some out early lol) and the tomatoes are taking over! The corn is starting to produce ears and I can't keep up with the beans haha. Cucumbers and New Zealand spinach will probably be ready for harvesting in another 30 days or so, and the watermelons I'm not sure. The watermelon plants are neat though. You can't see it in the pictures but the leaves have yellow spotty markings on them, exactly like the fruits will have. The variety is called "moons and stars" watermelon and they're gorgeous. I hope they turn out well!
There are ladybugs everywhere, wasps (scary but beneficial, so I leave em), and I even found a snakeskin. So my garden is healthy and attracting happy bugs! The only problem I've been having is with birds in the tomatoes. Seems like the minute they go red they get pecked out! So I gotta get some netting to protect them, or one of my friends told me that neon ribbons tied to the tops of the plants would scare away the birds. I'll try either! But I'm getting enough in the way of a harvest that today I think I'll be having a green bean/tomato/purple pepper/carrot salad. Tasty
