If anyone enjoys trying new brews or limited edition brews, Stone Brewing (Based in Escondido, CA) is doing a 12 year "Epic" Series.


Unfortunately I missed out on the first 7. I left San Diego in 2000 and didn't really look for or find a unique brew master store for quite a few years. Every day, month, year that is the same they are releasing a special brew.


I just picked up their 08-08-08 Limited edition "Vertical Epic Ale". It is damn good! I'd type more about what is written on the bottle except I have had a little bit to drink and it is a tad difficult to read the fine print.


edit: And now I have sampled their Double Chocolate Oatmeal Stout. Again, have not read the bottle but it definitely has the flavor of dark chocolate. Oh, and this is a 9.2% alcohol brew.

Do they have a website you can order from? Though I'll be in Carlsbad for the next week, I won't be taking the 15 by Escondido. We take the 5/57 route. I'd love to try some of those. They sound tasty.
