Poutine is a combination of french fries, cheddar cheese curds, and a veloute (stock thickened with a rux)
Guess I'll have to sprinkle cheddar cheese over it.

well, i can get them at central market. they have a cheese shop, both american cheeses, and imported and specialty cheeses
check your grocer out

Oh, really! There's one in Houston, I'll have to check it out.
Bought a lot of cheese there but never saw cheddar cheese curds.
But I wasn't looking for them either.

well, if yours is set up like mine, you turn the corner form the breads and bakery to the cheese shop isle
first is things like italy, and the parm wheel
go all the way down to the american section, will have wisc chedder and the like. mine is by the door that is the area they cut up and wt the cheeses.
will be in a plastic container you can see thru. was in a square one last i looked at in that section the other day.

I can find them all over where I live ( Wisc ). Check with a local grocery store which is all I can suggest

I've had the ones from Nelson. If they don't squeek, they're not the best!!
Also, when I don't have time for the trek to Nelson, I buy them at Cub Foods - our local big name grocery store.
