1 large cabbage
1/2 pound of ground beef
1/2 pound of ground pork (or you can just use beef)
celery
onion
garlic
parsley
salt
black pepper
1 stick of butter
4 cups tomato puree (or sauce)
2 cups pre-cooked rice
Core the cabbage - steam it in a stock pot with 2 quart of water until tender
set cabbage aside to cool
save 2 cup of stock from the cabbage water
brown your meat
drain off excess grease
add onion, garlic, parsley, salt, black pepper, and butter, simmer for 5-10 minutes
get it good and hot so the flavor has time to blend in
add rice and 2 cups of tomato puree
mix it together
stuff your cabbage - place them in a pan
mix stock from when you boiled the cabbage with the remaining 2 cups of tomato puree
pour the mixture over the cabbage rolls (you want the liquid level to come halfway up the cabbage rolls)
bake in over at 350 for 45 minutes - or until cabbage is very tender
