Wonder what that guy charges for a cake? Some people have them delivered to different states. That's gotta be expensive.

Those are very expensive cakes catering to an exclusive customer base.
The ones you see made on the show though, are probably payed for by the producer, not Duff's customer.

Delivery fees are calculated by distance traveled and are roughly $175 an hour. Our delivery range is roughly 4-6 hours from Baltimore.

wow.. when I looked it up awhile back, it used to be $500 minimum. Really though, you do get what you pay for. Their cakes are really awesome.
We had a bakery in town here that did original cakes.. not as big and extravagant as Charm City, but they came up with some awesome ideas. I had them make a pirate ship for my husband's 30th birthday. I was so impressed, I went back the year after for another and found they had went out of business. It seems people would rather buy boring rectangular dime-a-dozen cakes from grocery store bakeries. /sigh
