do muffins usually have icing? maybe Im getting too technical/semantic-ish but I always thought muffins always had plain tops. But to answer your question Ive never tried making them. My sister used to make for me some awesome pumpkin spice muffins around this time of the year. She didnt use any sugar in them but instead substituted apple sauce and other things to make them healthy. They were always really sweet and tasted delicious. I know she used a store bought pumpkin filling, apple sauce, flour, and water but beyond that I've no idea what else she put in them.
