I made deep fried zuchinni at mom's over the weekend. I hadn't had any for a couple years. Gawwwd it was sooo good!

I had the pleasure of introducing this to my mother a couple of weeks back.
Dad says she's made it at least twice a week since lol.

Almost as good as fried Okra. But my doctor keeps telling me even the fried veggies kill my blood reading for triglycerides because of my diabetes.

It's so funny, I LOVE fried okra, I lived in Oklahoma for most of my childhood, it was always around it seems. Here in Ohio, most people look at me like I'm crazy when I ask for it.
We actually got it to grow in my garden this year, now I face the challenge of preserving it somehow. Will be worth it though!!!

Yeah, it's so incredibly good, but I really don't eat fried food anymore. I love fried zucchini, okra and pickles. If you've never had a fried pickle, I suggest you try them.

I like fried okra, but not as well as the zuchini. Fried pickles are ok too.

We used to grow so much of it that when it was ready we'd have a lot every dinner. Fried was ok, but after having it so much and so often I got sick of it. By the end of the season they were getting huge and tasteless too. Bleh.
Too much of anything will eventually ruin the enjoyment. (Except cow of course.)

after they get too big, only thing they are good for is shredding for breads

my zuchinni is the only thing in my garden that didnt survive the two hail storms we had 
I like deep fried zuchinni, stuffed zuchinni with italain sausage and baked, or just plain old pan fried with yellow squash,onion, and bacon. |
