Tried a roast in a crockpot several times - gotta admit, it's much better in the over.

I like to brown the roast before putting it in the roaster with potatoes, baby carrots, onion, celery, salt, pepper, garlic, and a bit of water. The drippings make a wonderful gravy. Old school is always better.
