I've got a trellis of scuppernongs. ...could I use the scuppernong leaves for stuffing like I would grape leaves? A quick google search seems to suggest they are edible.

Yeah, I was thinking of making dolmades with them. Scuppernongs are essentially muscadines and in that whole grape family. It sounds like the ideal time is in the spring when the leaves are young, but I might find some still growing.

If I can use them that way, it makes the plant much more versatile. Spring time goodness before my summer veges.

As long as research suggests they are edible, you could certainly try it. They are essentially a grape leaf, just a different kind of grape.
